Human Resocia Survey - IT Engineers Around the World - vol.2 IT engineer Salary Ranking

Japan is 18th out of 92 countries and in terms of growth rate is 20th with an annual increase of 5.9% - "IT engineer report vol.2 looking at 92 countries with data"

The highest salary of IT engineers in the world is in Switzerland, with second highest in the US and Israel being at the third place.

IT engineer salaries in the world: Switzerland No. 1, US No 2., Israel No. 3, Japan No. 18

In IT engineers annual salary ranking, out of 92 countries/regions, Switzerland (US $ 92,500) has ranked first, while the United States (US $ 83,389) being second, and Israel (US $ 79,511) has the third. It was.

In addition, many countries in Northern Europe such as Denmark, Norway and Finland, and countries in Western Europe such as Austria, Germany and Luxembourg ranked in the top 20.

On the other hand, Japan, which ranks fourth in the world in terms of the number of IT engineers, remained at 18th place with US $ 42,464. In other Asian countries / regions, Singapore ranked 10th, which is the top in the region, and Hong Kong ranked only 20th.

■ Salaries of information and telecommunications workers around the world: 1st Switzerland, 2nd US, 3rd Denmark, Japan 19th

■ Salary growth rate of IT engineers in the world: 1st Thailand, 2nd Latvia, 3rd Qatar, 20th in Japan

Next, according to the survey results on the growth rate of salaries (average annual income) of information and telecommunications workers in 92 countries / regions (in recent years when data was obtained), countries that have not been in the top 20 ranking so far. Has jumped out a lot.

Thailand has the highest salary growth rate, resulting in an annual salary increase of 38.3%. Latvia, a country in Northern Europe (see Note 1), which has the largest number of IT engineers in the world, came in second, with an increase of 26.4%. Qatar, which ranked fourth in salaries for information and telecommunications workers, ranked third with an increase of 25.1%.

Eastern European countries such as Ukraine, Bulgaria, Moldova, Serbia and Hungary are among the top 20 countries, and it can be inferred that the IT industry is developing rapidly in this region. Panama, Brazil, Costa Rica, and Guatemala also ranked in Latin American countries.

On the other hand, Japan achieved a growth rate of 5.9%, ranking 20th. It seems to be relatively high among developed countries, but considering that the salaries of IT engineers are low compared to the United States and European countries, the growth rate is not sufficient. In the Asian region, Vietnam also ranked 13th, with Thailand, Vietnam, and Japan in the top 20.

Utilizing salary data of "Software Engineer" searched by the International Labor Organization (ILO) and "PayScale", which collects and provides information on company salaries (search date: May 30, 2019) I will.
Some data could have not been found, such as the annual salary of software engineers in Iceland and the average salary of telecommunications workers in Australia and the Netherlands.
Regarding the salary growth rate, Software Engineer cannot obtain salary annual salary data that can be compared in chronological order, and compares the annual salary data of information and communication industry workers.
