The US, China, and India are IT nations with a growing presence, and the European regions, including the Nordic countries, have been attracting attention.

Human Resocia Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director: Mitsugu Mitsoya, hereinafter “the Company”), a human resources service provider, published the results of the survey ‘IT Engineer Report vol.1: The number of IT Engineers in 92 Countries Around the World’.

Based on independent analysis based on statistical data from each country, this report estimates that the number of IT professionals in 92 countries is 21,365,000, with an annual growth rate of about 3.35%. In terms of the number of developers and programmers, the presence of IT nations such as the United States, China, and India, as well as those in Europe, including Northern European countries, was prominent. Japan, on the other hand, ranks fourth in the world in terms of the number of IT technicians, but the growth rate of IT technicians is only 27th.
